In My Words

About Me

In My Words is my blog about things that well i feel like blogging about i spose. Sometimes ill report news issues as well and am currently redoing my blog so hopefully News stuff will be separated shortly from my own blogs.

Ok So about Me! I live in Blacktown City, part of Sydney Australia. I love hot bubble baths, my children, music, poetry, writing poetry, africa, children, storm clouds and thunder/lightening, star gazing, activism, journalism, human rights and using MY VOICE as a voice for those who cannot be heard.

I’m Rebecca, 29 and a mum of 3 fantastic children.  I work full time as a Personal Assistant/Admin Manager as well as run my own Wedding Stationery business. In my spare time i like to hang out with my family and children, watch movies, listen to music, my fave Singer is P!NK and support the Invisible Children organsation, run a website “Free Uganda”, and much more.

My Fave kind of movies are Documentaries and Horror Movies.  I like to learn and believe that we can never ever know enough about the world.  When i had my goitre (in my throat that crushed my voice box and was choking me to death) removed i vowed to change my life and make a difference in the world.  When beginning my journey into the Invisible Children world i was astonished by people’s ignorance of not only that particular war but of the whole of Africa.  Is an African life not worth as much as mine? Why is this not being publicised? Why does the world media not report on these atrocities? Have we become so de-sensitized by seeing children facing and committing atrocities that we simply let it go on with a blind eye? WHY WHY WHY??? is all i can ask! Without the voices of the Western World, these children will never have a chance.  It is up to us to give the invisible children a voice, a name and a face, as each child whether they be from Sydney, New York or Gulu , whether they be Caucasian, African, Iranian or Afghan they deserve to live life without fear, violence, abductions, torture and war.

The mission is simple: Help Us End A War – The longest running war in Africa.
