Researchers found that fluorid e consumption directly stimulates the hardening of your arteries, a condition known as atherosclerosis that is highly correlated with the #1 killer. Sodium fluoride is currently added to the water supply of many cities worldwide, despite extreme opposition from health professionals and previous studies linking it to decreased IQ and infertility. In their research, scientists examined the relationship between fluoride intake and the hardening (calcification) of the arteries. Studying more than 60 patients, the researchers found a significant correlation between fluoride consumption and the calcification of your arteries. Published in the January edition of the journal Nuclear Medicine Communications, the research highlights the fact that mass fluoride exposure may be to blame for the cardiovascular disease epidemic that takes more lives each year than cancer. In 2008, cardiovascular killed 17 million people. According to the authors of the study: “The coronary fluoride uptake value in patients with cardiovascular events was significantly higher than in patients without cardiovascular events.” Read the full report here

Israel is conducting a covert cross-border operation directed against Syria in liaison with NATO and the Pentagon.

After looking for a “smoking gun” in Iran earlier this year, Israeli special forces are now “tracking” Syria’s “stocks of chemical and biological weapons”, according to The Sunday Times.

“The cross-border operation is part of a secret war to trail Syria’s non-conventional armaments and sabotage their development. ‘For years we’ve known the exact location of Syria’s chemical and biological munitions,’ an Israeli source said, referring to the country’s spy satellites and drones. ‘But in the past week we’ve got signs that munitions have been moved to new locations.’” (Uzi Mahnaimi and Lucy Fisher Israel tracks Syria’s chemical arsenal, The Sunday Times 9 December 2012.)

Everyone recalls the WMD hype prior to launching the war on Iraq. It turned out that the Iraqi WMD threat was an outright fabrication.

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched, on Thursday morning, a wide raid and arrest campaign in the city of al-Khalil, targeting a number of liberated prisoners and former detainees, in addition to raiding a number of journalists’ houses.

Al-Heimoni family told PIC that the IOF stormed and searched their house, on Wednesday night, and arrested her son Mo’az, taking him to an unknown destination.
Mo’az is a liberated prisoner who was released two months ago, and it is scheduled that his brother Muhannad would be released on Thursday morning after nine months in Israeli jails.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces raided the house of the liberated prisoner Ahmed Yosri Oweiwi, and damaged its contents, and they transferred him to the Etzion detention center, after leaving his family in the cold weather for more than two hours.

Occupation forces also arrested Moataz Hirbawi and…

NEW YORK, (PIC)– The UN said the recent Israeli war on the Gaza Strip resulted in the displacement of at least 3,000 Palestinian civilians whose homes were destroyed or sustained damage.

The UN radio quoted the UN humanitarian coordinator James Rawley as saying that the civilians in Gaza, for the second time, took the brunt of the violence during the Israeli war.

Rawley stressed the need for not repeating the latest Israeli military escalation in Gaza and called on all active political players in the region and the international community to take all necessary steps to ensure lasting peace and stability in Palestine and give hope for Gaza people.

The UN official noted that 3,000 displaced civilians are living now with host families or in rented homes.
He said that Israel’s last war on Gaza exacerbated the unstable humanitarian situation there, where 800…

Psychiatry goes insane

The industry of modern psychiatry has officially gone insane. Virtually every emotion experienced by a human being — sadness, grief, anxiety, frustration, impatience, excitement — is now being classified as a “mental disorder” demanding chemical treatment (with prescription medications, of course).

The new, upcoming DSM-5 “psychiatry bible,” expected to be released in a few months, has transformed itself from a medical reference manual to a testament to the insanity of the industry itself.

“Mental disorders” named in the DSM-5 include “General Anxiety Disorder” or GAD for short. GAD can be diagnosed in a person who feels a little anxious doing something like, say, talking to a psychiatrist. Thus, the mere act of a psychiatrist engaging in the possibility of making a diagnoses causes the “symptoms” of that diagnoses to magically appear.

This is called quack science and circular reasoning…

A student compiled information and links to news reports and documents on every known US drone strike within the last ten years and decided to tweet about every one. Initially he believed the task would take ten minutes to complete. However, over 12 HOURS later he was still tweeting.

I’m going to tweet the entire history of US drone strikes tomorrow. 10 years in 10 minutes, starting at 12pm. Follow@dronestream for more.

As part of his graduate project, NYU student Josh Begley opened the Twitter account @dronestream, and began tweeting his research Tuesday.

“At first, I wanted to visualize frequency – to see if I could tweet 10 years in 10 minutes,” Begley told theLondon Guardian. “Clearly that didn’t work out. After tweeting for 12 hours I’ve only…

In the middle of the night at a U.N. conference in Dubai, the presiding chairman of the International Telecommunication Union conference surveyed the assembled countries to see whether there was interest in having greater involvement in the U.N. governing the Internet. A majority of countries gave their approval.

With a sufficient majority supporting the U.N. becoming more active in controlling the Internet, the chairman put forth a resolution. The chairman, though, insisted the survey “was not a vote.”

The resolution was supported by Cuba, Algeria, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia; the United States opposed it.

The proposed resolution resolves that the secretary general of the U.N. “continue to take the necessary steps for ITU to play an active and constructive role in the multi-stakeholder model of the Internet,” according to a draft of the text.

“While it is our understanding that the resolutions made…

Activist Post
The American Civil Liberties Union and Yale Law School’s Lowenstein International Human Rights Clinic today filed a petition against the United States with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IAHCR) for the unlawful detention and torture of José Padilla, a U.S. citizen, whom the United States detained and interrogated for four years.

The petition was filed by Padilla’s mother, Estela Lebron, on her own and on her son’s behalf. Padilla and Lebron had previously filed federal lawsuits – since dismissed – against current and former government officials for their roles in Padilla’s torture and other abuse.

The petition is an international complaint asking the IACHR, which is an independent human rights body of the Organization of American States, to conduct a full investigation into the human rights violations suffered by Padilla; to find that his mistreatment violated the American Declaration of the Rights and Duties of Man; and…
