September 30, 2014 (Tony Cartalucci – LD) – The “Occupy Central” protests in Hong Kong continue on – destabilizing the small southern Chinese island famous as an international hub for corporate-financier interests, and before that, the colonial ambitions of the British Empire. Those interests have been conspiring for years to peel the island away from Beijing after it was begrudgingly returned to China in the late 1990’s, and use it as a springboard to further destabilize mainland China.

Behind the so-called “Occupy Central” protests, which masquerade as a “pro-democracy” movement seeking “universal suffrage” and “full democracy,” is a deep and insidious…

Sydney Occupier Rebecca-Anne (AussieActivist (me!), Social Science student at University of Western Sydney (Maj:Peace & Development; SubMaj: Geographies & Urban Studies) is seeking occupiers and non occupiers to interview via Skype or other video calling program/s to discuss their experience with the Occupy Movement (on all levels inclusion or not). (ABOUT: Research from the school of Social Science and Psychology of UWS)

The case study is looking at the level of acceptance of the Occupy Movement within public space. The sense of “Belonging” or “Not Belonging” in the public space for eg: How has the group/activity been constructed as “out of place”, how does the group (occupy) respond; who constructed it as out of place and why.

All information will be kept confidential and no personal information will be used within the case study documentation for privacy of all. This document will only be accessible by the University of Western Sydney Academics and Professors. (This is only an assessment case study with no plans to be published in any journals but may be made “freesource” at the end of University Degree within full privacy as intended).

Questions will range from Basic Details (age, gender, socioeconomic status, occupation) to more indepth questions regarding your personal experience either within occupy or as a sideline citizen following the occupy movement or as a citizen opposed to the occupy movement.

I am available to take interviews from ANY global arena that has/had an occupy movement locally.

This case study will be used by AussieActivist for further research and analysis in the divide between the “haves” and “have nots” within both local Australian Society and Global Socities.

Unemployment in Spain already stands at 26%. Crowds scavenge the streets at night for food. And life is about to get tougher still

Forget, for a moment, the Greek tragedy. The tale of social woe set to play out in Spain this year is both bigger and more important to the world. For the drama of rescuing the euro, or letting it sink, will be played out on Spanish soil.

That is not to say Spaniards will have it worse than Greeks, though Eurostat figures show only Bulgaria and Romania now have a higher percentage of people deemed at risk of poverty. Spain’s economy will shrink, once more, by 1.5% – a dramatic enough figure, though one most…

The Federal Bureau of Investigation knew of a plot to assassinate members of the Occupy Wall Street at protests around the United States but did not inform the potential victims of the threats to their lives.
The shocking revelation was buried deep within documents released to the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund (PCJF), a human and civil rights advocacy organization, after the group filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
Last week, Digital Journal reported that the documents obtained by PCJF detailed how the FBI cooperated with the Department of Homeland Security, US military and private corporations to monitor and investigate Occupy Wall Street protesters as “domestic terrorists” and “criminals.” The documents prove that federal agencies are “functioning as a de facto intelligence arm of Wall Street and corporate America,” PCJF said.

Thorough analyses of the documents has now revealed a heavily redacted file that clearly mentions a plan to use snipers to assassinate Occupy protesters. The names of the groups or individuals involved in the murderous plot have been redacted, so it is impossible to identify them at this time. What is known is that the FBI never alerted any of the potential victims of the danger to their lives.
From an FBI document marked “SECRET”:

An identified [redacted] of October planned to engage in sniper attacks against protesters in Houston, Texas, if deemed necessary. An identified [redacted] had received intelligence that indicated the protesters in New York and Seattle planned similar protests in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin, Texas. [Redacted] planned to gather intelligence against the leaders of the protest groups and obtain photographs then formulate a plan to kill the leadership via suppressed sniper rifles.

Occupy protests targeted by FBI counterterror units

Global Research, December 27, 2012
occupywallstreet

Internal Federal Bureau of Investigation documents released last Saturday by a civil liberties organization show that FBI anti-terror units across the US targeted and spied on the Occupy Wall Street protests even before they got underway in September 2011.

The secret documents, obtained by the Partnership for Public Justice Fund (PCJF) through Freedom of Information requests and published on the organization’s web site, show that the FBI used police informants and infiltrators to systematically monitor the activities of anti-Wall Street groups and share information about them with other federal, state and local police agencies as well as with private corporations.

The documents are heavily redacted. Nevertheless, they demonstrate that the so-called “war on terror” and the police-state laws and agencies established in its name are being employed to disrupt and suppress political dissent and protect the American corporate-financial elite against the growth of social opposition.

This direct attack on Constitutionally protected free-speech rights, begun under the Bush administration, has been expanded by the Obama administration, which treats virtually all forms of social and political protest as a potential criminal and terrorist threat. This confirms that the central target of the Homeland Security Department, the USA PATRIOT ACT, the Guantanamo gulag, the military tribunals, the gutting of habeas corpus rights and due process, and the policy of extra-judicial assassinations and torture is not Islamist terrorists, but the democratic rights of the American working class.

The documents show that FBI offices and agents across the country were conducting intensive surveillance against the Occupy movement in August 2011, a month prior to the first anti-Wall Street protests in New York City and the occupation of Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan. As early as August 19, 2011, the FBI in New York was meeting with the New York Stock Exchange to discuss the impending protests.

In Indiana, the FBI released a “Potential Criminal Activity Alert” on September 15, 2011, even though it acknowledged that no specific date for a protest had been scheduled in the state. The Indiana FBI coordinated with “all Indiana state and local law enforcement agencies” as well as the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center, the FBI Directorate of Intelligence and other national FBI bodies.

The FBI Campus Liaison Program enlisted both campus police and university officials in New York State to spy on Occupy protests carried out by students and professors.

Documents show that the FBI, the Homeland Security Department and private corporations coordinated their response to the protests via that Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC), described by the federal government as “a strategic partnership between the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the private sector.” The DSAC discussed Occupy protests at West Coast ports to “raise awareness concerning this type of criminal activity.”

Naval Criminal Investigative Services reported to the DSAC on links between Occupy Wall Street and trade unions in the organization of the port protests.

The FBI in Anchorage, Alaska reported on a Joint Terrorism Task Force meeting of November 3, 2011 concerning Occupy activities in Anchorage. A port security officer arranged with the FBI to attend a planning meeting of the protesters and report back to the FBI.

The Jacksonville, Florida FBI in October 2011 issued a Domestic Terrorism briefing on the “spread of the Occupy Wall Street Movement.” The briefing linked protests in Daytona, Gainesville and Ocala Resident Agency territories with “some of the highest unemployment rates in Florida.”

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Virginia contacted the FBI in the city “to pass on updates of the events and decisions made during the small rallies” as well as information received from “the Capital Police Intelligence Unit through JTTF (Joint Terrorism Task Force).”

Similar memos from FBI anti-terror units in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Memphis, Tennessee; Birmingham and Jackson, Mississippi; and Denver, Colorado speak of coordinated spying on Occupy protesters by federal, state and local police agencies, working in tandem with private financial institutions.

Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, executive director of the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund, said: “[W]e believe this is just the tip of the iceberg… These documents show that the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security are treating protests against the corporate and banking structure of America as potential criminal and terrorist activity. These documents also show these federal agencies functioning as a de facto intelligence arm of Wall Street and Corporate America.”

The intervention of the FBI and other federal agencies against the Occupy protests did not stop at surveillance. The massive scope and systematic nature of the spying exposed by the documents posted by the PCJF make it clear that the Obama administration coordinated the police attacks and court actions taken at the state and local level to suppress the protests and end the occupations. Mass arrests, tear gas and constant harassment were all employed in the course of the months-long protests.

This state repression was aided and abetted by the non-stop efforts of the anarchist and pseudo-left organizations in the leadership of the movement to channel it behind the trade union bureaucracy and the Democratic Party.

The Obama administration has increasingly utilized the anti-democratic methods employed to entrap Muslims in the US and prosecute them as terrorists—police infiltrators and provocateurs, fake terror plots concocted by police agents—to ensnare and frame up activists involved in protest actions against US wars abroad and attacks on living standards at home. Recent examples include:

* The arrest and prosecution on terrorism charges of five young men involved in protests last May against the NATO summit in Chicago. All five were implicated by undercover agents.

* The entrapment that same month of five young men in Cleveland by undercover agents, who lured the alleged “anarchists” into a phony plot to blow up a bridge.

* A series of FBI raids last summer on the homes of anti-Wall Street protesters in Portland, Oregon and Seattle and Olympia, Washington. Scores of heavily armed domestic terrorism agents used stun grenades and battering rams to smash through doors and threaten their victims with automatic weapons.

* The September 2010 raids ordered by the Obama administration on the homes of leaders of the Anti-War Committee and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization in Minneapolis and Chicgao, justified under the “material support for terrorism” provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act.

PCJF Executive Director Verheyden-Hilliard pointed to one aspect of the utilization of the FBI as a political police force against social opposition. “The collection of information on people’s free-speech actions,” she told the New York Times, “is being entered into unregulated databases, a vast storehouse of information widely disseminated to a range of law enforcement and, apparently, private entities.”

Earlier this month, the Wall Street Journal reported that the Obama administration in March approved a vast expansion of the power of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) to copy government databases on ordinary Americans, even if there is no reason to suspect them of criminal or terrorist activities. “Under the new rules issued in March,” the Journal wrote, “the National Counterterrorism Center… can obtain almost any database the government collects that it says is ‘reasonably believed’ to contain ‘terrorism information.’ The list could potentially include almost any government database, from financial forms submitted by people seeking federally backed mortgages to the health records of people who sought treatment at Veterans Administration hospitals.”

US War Agenda: Coke or Goldman Sachs, What’s Your Poison?

Global Research, September 24, 2012

Who in their right mind would be prepared to fight and die for Shell, Chevron or Coca Cola? Who with half a brain would choose to put their life on the line for Goldman Sachs, Bank of America or General Electric? Any volunteers? I’m guessing there wouldn’t be many.

Then again, I could be wrong. Think of the tens of thousands of NATO troops who over the last decade have been in Afghanistan or Iraq. Drunk on the potent aphrodisiac of nationalism and a military that sells life in the armed forces as resembling some computer game reality, young mainly working class men have lined up in their droves to put their lives on the line for their respective governments.

Enticed by the glamour of armed forces’ adverts that proclaim ‘see the world’ or ‘learn a trade’ in an era of severe economic downturn, when few poorer people have little chance of doing either, ‘serving queen and country’ (or some other nationalistic slogan) seems like a good option.

This form of economic conscription has meant no shortage of young men signing up to fight wars in far away lands. Sold under the outright lie of ‘protecting democracy’, ‘humanitarian intervention’ or another apparent high-minded falsehood, thousands have gone off to kill and die and pledge allegiance to a ‘greater good’.

But it’s not the greater good of humankind, queen, flag or country that is at stake. Forget about blurry eyed nationalism or idealism. These young men are spilling their own blood and the blood of countless others on behalf of corporate interests.

Western ‘liberal democracy’ has nothing to do with empowering people and everything to do with enslaving them and making them blind to the chains that bind them. It is the powerful foundations and think tanks headed or funded by private corporations that drive US policies and its war agenda.

In his Global Research article ‘Tipping the balance of power’ ( 23 Sept), Tony Cartalucci highlights how, through their funding or by direct membership of various foundations, think tanks and government bodies, US domestic and foreign policies are formulated to serve corporate interests. It is the Brookings Institute, International Crisis Group and Council on Foreign Relations, among others, where the real heart of the US government lies. In Britain, Chatham House plays a similar role.

It is not without good reason that former CIA ‘asset’ Susan Linduar claimed that US oil giants Chevron and Occidental Petroleum exerted pressure on Washington to remove Gadhaffi from power because he was supposedly was exerting heavy pressure on US and British oil companies to cough up special fees and kick backs to cover the costs of Libya’s reimbursement to the families of the Pan Am plane that blew up over Lockerbie. On Washington’s nod, tens of thousands of Libyans subsequently paid the price with their lives

John Perkins book ‘Confessions of an Economic Hitman’ details how poorer countries have been neo-colonised by a cabal of US corporations, banks and government agencies. This is achieved via a combination of targeted assassinations, bribery, deceit and financial loans leading to debt dependency. If all of that fails, the troops are then sent in under the banner of ‘humanitarianism’ or protecting ‘national security’. Corporate America has been the leading hand in virtually every US led conflict since 1945, from Guatemala in the 1950s right up to Syria today.

Who but a misinformed and brainwashed public would think for one minute that such corporations and their foundations, institutes and agencies would let ordinary folk have any say in policies that would adversely affect their power or enormous wealth? There is no way they will allow any genuine form of democracy that could disrupt their aims. What is required and achieved is an ignorant and misinformed public that places an X on a ballot form every four years in favour of competing corporate-sponsored politicians. A public that readily lines up to support the corporate war agenda, and a public from which a cannon fodder army of young men is recruited to die on the battlefields of Asia.

And as those young men are delivered to their families inside a wooden box or return home suffering from the long term effects of using weapons that contained depleted uranium, there can only be one thought among decent minded folk – ‘what a waste.’

But young men being carted away in a body bag or suffering from life long illnesses means nothing to the men these wars are fought for. They are just ‘collateral damage’ in pursuit of the ‘greater good’. Not the greater good of lofty idealism. But the corporate brand of ‘greater good’ – greed, resource grabs, ever more profits and ever more power.

The mainstream media glorifies the military at every available opportunity. Obama calls armed forces personnel ‘the real patriots’. In Britain they are ‘our brave lads’. Such rhetoric serves as a smokescreen to hide the true nature of the illegal, imperialist wars NATO continues to engage in.

For many, it seems strange that our ‘brave heroes’, our ‘true patriots’ who were sent out to kill, so often have to rely on charities when back from the battlefield to piece their health and lives back together again. Not so strange really because, behind the rhetoric, the reality is they are regarded by the wealthy beneficiaries of the war agenda as constituting disposable working class fodder who have no idea about what they are really fighting for..

Don’t take my word for it. Henry Kissinger, the criminal responsible for scorching, torching, maiming and killing tens of thousands is reported in the book ‘The Final Days’ (Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein) to have referred to military men as “dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy.”

It is a fact that the entire world desperately needs a revolution. The global managers know this, and have stated that they are frightened of the widespread political awakening.
Global connectivity has definitely lent a hand — for the first time, websites and blogs issuing independent analysis and research can go head to head with the massive production budgets and funding received by corporate media. What was once the “mainstream media” should better be called the “propped up media” — on a level playing field of ideas they are losing fantastically.

Social media has become the new mainstream media. As the video at the end of this article illustrates, the number of people involved is simply staggering. In much of the alternative media, we refer to the sharing of information as the infowar. And even Hillary Clinton has used that phrase ……

Working in Occupy Media is the most incredible and profound professional experience imaginable. You literally never know what is around the next corner; what you will see, who you will meet, who you will learn from, who you will teach. You become both the interviewer and the interviewed. The manufacturer, the wholesaler, the retailer, and the customer, all wrapped up into one.

A combination of elements from what some consider coincidence to what others call fate, karma or destiny – along with the energy you invest into each action and each venture and your own desires, epiphanies and subconscious choices – culminate in possibilities and potentials that ever increase in pace, magnitude, scope and impact.

It is a global arena and our individual sources of origin provide richness and culture as we eye-witness for and speak to a worldwide platform.

Although the above might not resound with those unfamiliar with Occupy Media, thanks to social media, the topic…

Police in Frankfurt remove protesters from the Occupy Movement.

Occupy Sydney stand in solidarity with Occupy Frankfurt as their ten month long Occupation is removed by Police. Claims that “activists have left and homeless have taken over” are a standard Police ruse to disinform the public by portraying activists as something else. Perhaps their are among Police tiers of recognition of activists and levels of activism. Our information from Occupy Frankfurt by phone is that there is a notable homeless presence but the Occupation is by no means exclusively homeless people. There are also activists from Student , Trades and Workers movements onsite.

As with other occupations, there are also numerous organisations which tried to co-opt Occupy Frankfurt whose high profile media spokespeople basked in the sunshine of Occupy publicity but had little to do with maintaining a physical occupation.

Rally in Melbourne: End Indefinite Detention, End ASIO checks on Refugees

Friday, 25th May 12.30 – 1.30 ; Dept of Immigration, Casseldon Place (cnr Spring and Lonsdale Sts) Melbourne VIC

By: Refugee Action Collective

At least 56 refugees are facing indefinite detention after being declared a ‘security threat’ by ASIO. This includes two families with young children. They have no right to review or appeal the decision, nor do they have the right to know the grounds on which they have been rejected. Three Tamil refugees rejected by ASIO have attempted suicide in Broadmeadows detention centre. Alongside this mounting despair inside the camps, there is a growing chorus of outrage against this affront to natural justice. Join the Refugee Action Collective (Vic) in calling on the government to scrap ASIO checks. Refugees are threatened by persecution and danger, not a security threat. The government must act immediately to release the refugees into the community.

Last year i was lent a book that i found intriguing. An old Conspiracy Theory book written and published in 1977 titled, “Mystery 666.” I had it on the bookshelf for about 2-3 weeks before i actually opened it up and took a look, and to my amazement, most of the book is actually quite relevant still in today’s society. The Rockerfellers, The Rothschild, The Bilderbergs, are all still going on.

Typically i don’t see myself as a Conspiracy Theorist and usually seek the logical explanation for things. However, in the last year or 2, research hours that have consumed me have led me around revolving circles back to conspiracy theory subjects, so into the rabbits hole i fell.

So with the information at hand, and being told it was possibly a banned book, i immediately wrote to the Author of the book, via a quick google search i was easily able to find the author and contacts. I wasted no time in asking for permission to redistribute parts of this book relevant to today’s society.

Don. E Stanton quickly replied and gave me permission to reproduce the parts from this book that are relevant to today, considering most of the book is relevant to today, i am fortunate that i am able to freely make this information public, as i am unsure how many of these books are still in existence.

The Book is written by Don. E. Stanton from the Maranatha Revival Crusade and is a non profit faith ministry. Below are some downloadable PDF Ebooks direct from Mystery 666.  You can also visit the Maranatha Revival Crusade website and download other useful Ebooks that are available regarding Conspiracy Theories.

I intend to use this information for Sharing Purposes Only. What people beleive is totally at their own discretion. But i do advise, you have a brain of your own, think outside what it is forcefed by Main Stream Media, Research things, do not take as gospel things that reporters are PAID to tell you. We have seen over the last 10 years (thanks to Wikileaks) just exactly how governments lie and decieve us.

@AussieActivist

Dear Hon Kevin Rudd.

I am writing to you today as a concerned citizen of Australia. I have been closely following the Julian Assange and Wikileaks cases over the last few years and i have been greatly surprised at the lack of support that the Australian Government has given the Assange Family in relation to this matter.

Mr Assange has done the world a duty by releasing documentation that shows corruption in governments, lies, deceit and petty trashing of leaders by others in positions of power. It is with disgust that i see Australia lending all support to a 14 year old pot smoking hoon who was arrested in Bali for buying drugs but zero support for the Assange Case. Mr Assange is not guilty of Sexual Assault/Rape. This is a political move by the USA to obtain Mr Assange through the system. The USA have recently voted in new amendments to their National Defense Authorization Act 2012 allowing the US to detain indefinitely anyone suspected or accused of Terrorism, Sections: 1021, 1031, 1032, 1034.  they already have the Authorization for use of Military force against Terrorists  and are now just exerting more power to take people who they suspect of Terrorism.  They have also changed their definition of Terrorism to include: Animal Rights Activists, Environmental Activists, Patriots and more.

I would like to know our Australian Government is doing to stop this power grabbing by America. Our citizens are not safe due to the new amendments in their laws. Mr Assange is not safe and Mr Bradley Manning, The US Solider currently held for over 500 days without charge or trial for releasing documents to wikileaks, is not safe. This is not following the Geneva Convention nor the Declaration of Human Rights.

Why also, would Australia support the sanctions on Iran when there is no “concrete” evidence that Iran are making nuclear weapons? There is only “Suspicion” and “Assumptions”. Iran has NOT started a war in over 100 years but yet America and Israel have started how many in the last 50 years? Australians do not support the killing of innocent people and that is just what the USA and Israel are doing. Killing many innocent civilians everyday and exerting power over the world. This is unacceptable. It is a widely accepted fact that Israel and the US have stockpiles of Nuclear weapons yet they have the hide to call out Iran for their Suspecting them of making? How Hypocritical.  See i have a theory that Israel and the US are baiting Iran to attack, they want Iran to fire the first major missile. That way their “Covert” missions in Iran are not exposed and Iran looks like the Warmonger This is plain outright nonsensical crap by crazy powers in the world. Do they want a WW3?

Why also, did Australia vote against Palestine at the UN? 75% of Australians support the Palestine people NOT Israel. I was disgusted that our Prime Minister took it upon herself and the Elites to voice their opinion on behalf of the Australian people. Israel has killed just as many people as the Nazi’s have, yet our media seem to never report about the daily killings and bombings of Gaza and West Bank. Our Freedoms in Australia are just an Illusion, we have no freedoms, no constitutional rights to save us. We are basically under Government power and it is not nice. Even a peaceful protest is met with Riot Squads, when it is our Human Right to Peacefully Protest or Assemble in Public. I am sad to say, welcome to the Police State of Australia. Now being forced to Vaccinate our children or lose part of our government benefits is an act of Tyranny, Taking away our rights to choose. My son was vaccinated for measles, yet he still got them, quite bad. A vaccination is NOT a guarantee that you wont get the virus.

It is about time our Government stands up to the Tyrants of America and Israel and say no longer will we stand for these issues. I urge you to give the full support of the Australian Government to the Assange Family as Mr Assange is only guilty of exposing corrupt governments and military issues, he is not a Terrorist and i urge Australian Government to stand by him.

I thank you for your time

November 6th, 2011.

Occupy Sydney held their first major Rally yesterday. Starting at 12noon.

I was at Town Hall at around 11am and met with some Occupy Sydney Facilitators to offer a hand for the day with anything needed. I was asked to assist the First Aid team and gladly took on this task. Donning a white arm band with a red cross on it, I was given a crash course in CPR assistance as well as other issues.

Being a mum I felt confident in myself caring for a minor injury such as fall and cuts etc but whoa! CPR! Hope we don’t need that. I thought to myself.

During this time the Maritime Union members arrived along with some from 4 different local Teachers Unions. The PA system was set up and people giving speech’s. We heard speakers from MUA, Teachers Unions, NT Intervention and were given an official “Welcome to Country” by an Indigenous leader with blessing from her elders. Welcome to country provides those whom are welcomed with permission to occupy the land and protection. I felt we needed the protection from the police, after witnessing first hand the forceful eviction a few weeks earlier.

After all speech’s were given, we formed our marching group with MUA leading the charge, the riff raff band right behind to provide the tunes for the march. I took my place on the side nearest the gutter to be assessable if needed. My sign read: “Don’t Abuse our human rights. Freedom of Speech” # OccupySydney” the other side read. “End Wars. I want peace on earth for all children, not just my own! #OccupyTogether.”

I proudly marched through the city from Town Hall to Martin Place carrying this message with me. I believe in our Human Rights, Australia is supposed to as well, considering they are signatory to the Geneva Convention!

Upon arriving at Martin Place, audio was connected and more speech’s and songs/ dancing followed. A GA was then called and members of the public were asked to put their makes on the speaking list if they wanted to say something. I happily did! I introduced myself and told of my experience of occupy. How safe i felt with my fellow occupiers and was only scared when police took forceful action. I am in awe if the love and peace and solidarity at occupy Sydney.

Lots of points came up at the GA but I’ll touch on 2. 1. Was to vote to re-occupy Sydney. 2. The location of the occupy.

A concensus was formed we would re-occupy. A few suggestions were floated around, but due to our time running our at Martin Place we had to rap it up. We decided we would head to Hyde Park and continue the GA. We then walked to Hyde park and were followed again by police.

We re-assembled at Hyde Park and continued our GA. Consensus was to occupy Hyde Park hut if move on orders came, we would have a plan b. This plan b was Victoria park where an indigenous Tent Embassy would be established, this would give occupiers the right to sleep without hassles by police.

At one point someone in the crowd had put up a tent AGAINSt advice of occupy Sydney. This immediately drew police attention and a crowd of police formed. (I’m of the opinion it was probably the undercover cop we had in our crowd that did this). The tent was removed and a tense stand off persisted for about another 5 or so mins.

Things calmed again and we all went back to our GA.

Our speaker had to leave due to the stand off taking his speaking time. (police knew he was speaking at that time, that iswhy I believe it was set up) as he is a professor from a local uni.

Police then continued to pick people off one by one. Anyone with a yoga mat was told it was camping equipment and that it could be used in committing a crime! What bullshit! We had yoga instructors in the crowd and people were meditating as well. We are for peace! Not brutality.

A woman was arrested after climbing a tree. More tense stand offs happened and people grouped together and formed human ring to continue Talking and to protect others from any police harm. They were too worries to sit at this point due to intimidating tactics used by the mounted police. No one wanted to be trampled.

I was sitting on the outskirts and decided to lay down and read a book for a little while. Deciding what to do as it was getting late and I knew I needed to bus it home which is at least 1 hr I’d not longer.

It was at this point I left occupy with another first aider and decided to head home. I have family commitments on Sunday so was what I needed to do.

My phone had gone flat by this time and it wasn’t until I got home that I could get twitter updates.

At around 1.30-2am occupy Sydney was given an official “move on” order to which consensus was taken and all protesters peacefully dispersed from Hyde park, heading to a place they had been offered by someone so they could not be moved on.

From what I’m aware police followed the group over 6 blocks through the city. Then deemed it as illegal march! What bullshit!

As i was going through my twitter timeline today, i came across a retweet with a link to this blog RUSH OF SUN

If you read anything today, i suggest you read this.

One woman’s view on how her dignity and right to make decision for her own person has been taken away. A very powerful insight as to how (I’m sure) alot of fellow occupiers feel.

“How scared are the banks and our government that this this response has been ‘ordered’? ” Quote from Rush of Sun.

Robin Hood – Takes from the rich, and gives to the needy.

Here is a very clear HD video taken at the Raid on Occupy Sydney at the weekend by NSW Police force Operation Goulding.

23rd October, 2011

Last night I headed into Occupy Sydney as I had been the previous Sunday and had enjoyed the atmosphere and conversation, I decided to return.

I arrived at Martin Place around 9pm and began mingling with other occupiers. Everyone is quite happy to chat to everyone. Under 10 police were in attendance that I could see. After some conversations, dinner, dancing and social love, a few occupiers decided sleep was needed. A few others including myself moved away from sleepers and further down Martin place as to not disturb.

A group of us were dancing, singing and conversing with the general public. We had people from all walks of life and nationality come join us, to play a tune on the bongo drums or chat. A woman who was watching the action came over and did a belly dance for us.

It was great. Upon one of my bathroom visits, i walked by 2 officers, greeted them with smile, “hello” and wished them a nice night. They responded the same, however I was genuine in what I said.

At around 3.30am I decided to retire for the night on my patch of carpet. No sooner than I have dozed off it seemed that the cavalry had arrived.

I awoke to shouts, everyone get up, get your stuff, get your cameras out. Dazed I jumped to my feet, put my shoes on, bagged my snuggie & pillow and switched on my iPhone camera. I have a iPhone 3 so it has no light or flash. I started recording what I could see. I couldn’t hear what police were saying as I was near the back (i dont have good hearing in left ear) But was told by an occupier “supposedly we have ten mins to get out of here” I saw an officer rip up a cloth sign belonging to an occupier, he basically shredded it. I suppose a warning of what they wanted to do to us.

The people closest to the frontline start questioning police as to why we were being removed. Who ordered the removal. Other things were being said as well as screams from a homeless man who is bi-polar. I’m unsure if his name.

I then saw a shuffle starting and police grabbed an occupier by the head, another occupier tried to help his fellow occupier to release police hold of what I believe to be a head, that officer then let a hand free and swung a punch at the defender. I screamed at witnessing this and shouted “he threw a punch” my exact words I’m unsure but I do have some video footage I’m sorting through as it’s very blurred and dark. I will update this again tonight with video.

After this the force from NSW police erupted. They were throwing people’s belongings, breaking personal property , well I should say public property as all public are free to occupy and use.

2 male police officers took down a female occupier. Screams of pain by us and smirks from police.

I chanted “You are part of the 99%, we are here for you”.

I by this time was backing away as ordered and was almost sent flying down the stairs when police were trying to drag away occupiers unable to unlink arms. Extreme force on wrist holds was also noted.

I had moved further down through Martin Place now and was past where the cars and vans were and the arrested occupiers.

I had both hands full with items, also filming and walking away as told when I was shoved in the back by an officer. Instantly I was enraged, I was doing as ordered and he was now physically intimidating me. I responded to his shove  his response was “I’m helping”. In what way does a shove mean helping? More like a physical intimidation tactic. I do NOT (as a victim of sexual assault) take kindly to anyone touching me for no reason or without cause. The shove was totally uncalled for.

Copyrighted Footage Here – NOT TO BE USED WITHOUT MY WRITTEN CONSENT. I do not agree with anyone other than Occupy Sydney Media using this footage. Any use of footage, voice or stills will result in legal proceedings.

I saw a bloody face, heard women screaming and I was in shock. We had moved further down Martin place, dialogue with police started, we were regrouping. We were going to figure out what to do and move another 100mtrs away to deal with issue at hand. Police agreed, then moments later changed mind and forced us to move.

After that I continued to move on as directed, after reminding the police that the Queen wasn’t coming to Sydney, told them specifically, “She does not like Sydney because your here!”

A few of us began to sing Advance Australia Fair. Until yet again driven down street by line of riot police.

Just about to cross road to St James station, I stopped as the car turn lane was green and pedestrian light red. An officer then told me to walk, i said no, light is red and he shoved me off the curb and forced me to walk (as well as others). I continued to remind him the light to walk was red, to no avail. Luckily for us no cars were there.

I told that officer too, not to shove me and said “who do you think you are? Macho Man Randy Savage? f’wit.” I then turned, walked away, but my mouth got the better of me and i said “if i wanted to get pushed around I’d go home to a husband”. (in saying that I meant pushes around, as in told what to do, even my hubby/partner would not shove me.) all the time i remained doing what i was told and walking away. I never threatened any officer verbally so why was I shoved and physically intimidated?

We had arrived at St James station, sat in park and agreed with police in presence we would do a GA and decide what to do next. The officers stood around, a large proportion then headed back to Martin place whilst a small few remained to watch us.

People can make up their own views and opinions on this but I know what I saw with my own eyes. Police thuggery. Army style covert mission on sleeping civilians.

I make no apologies to the 2 officers I swore at, you instigated my heated word response with your uncalled for physical action when I was obeying your orders! At least i was non violent and didn’t physically intimidate anyone.

So at the end of today, ive cried, screamed, shook, felt ill, felt every emotion and I sat on my bed and wondered if I am strong enough to fight .

My answer is YES! I have occupy brothers and sisters worldwide who support. I see the faces of my students and remember the struggles they faced and the long hard fight they fought for freedom. I see the world struggle each day. It is for all humanity I say #OccupyTogether!
