One of many signs regarding Asylum Seekers/Refugee Rights

One of many signs regarding Asylum Seekers/Refugee Rights

Sydneysiders took to the streets today to voice their concern regarding current and proposed Abbott Government Policies, or what many would state a citizens vote of No Confidence in the Abbott Govt. From Asylum Seeker/Refugee Rights to Climate Change, Education to  NO CSG, many issues were represented by an amazingly huge crowd.

Some Mainstream media state approx 8000 attendee’s in Sydney however, our estimates on the ground were 20,ooo+.  Whilst AAP (as picked up by local news publishers inc, Seven News ) suggest “Placards suggesting that Prime Minister Tony Abbott has a hotline to Satan and others denouncing the illuminati and global weather conspiracies have been waved at a protest in Sydney”,  the majority of protester signs were in regards to our current issues on Education, Asylum Seekers, Welfare Cuts, Shark Culls and many more. Its obvious that main stream media have lost all credibility when they try to defame and stereotype what was such a diverse range of everyday people and a diverse range of concerns raised. SBS posted a much better   article representing the true people who attended. Many tweets from throughout the country were coming through to the #MarchInMarch.

A family friendly day was enjoyed by many and “Blackburn couple Dyan and Andrew brought their three kids Dylan, Harper and Marlo because they thought it was important to teach their children not to stay silent if they don’t agree with the government” (SBS).   As a democratic country, “Democracy doesn’t end at the ballot box,” as stated on the social media invitation, “It is the right, if not duty, of all Australians to hold our elected representatives to account; to remind them that they are, above all else, public servants” (SBS).

In true form, “Prime Minister Tony Abbott told reporters he thought the only large rally being held in Sydney was to do with St Patrick’s Day” (SBS). In saying that, an apparent clone of Tony Abbott was present today in Sydney.

May 25th 2013 saw the world unite against genetically modified foods. Throughout the world, many people took to the streets to voice their disapproval at Monsanto and its ever expanding claw on the seed industry.

The findings show Sydney is home to a higher percentage of people born overseas than Melbourne, but they are typically poorer and concentrated in fewer suburbs than those in the southern state. The targets of racism in Australia have also changed — the Indian community is now most often singled out rather than the past focus on people of east Asian descent, despite official attempts in recent years to calm anger over a spate of attacks on Indian students. This year, Op Nov 5 was very small in comparison with 2011. It appears that being a Monday, only the dedicated were able to show their “Ideological” faces outside the NSW parliament house in Sydney.

The day started with my arrival at Occupy Sydney, a place at which my heart lies in spirit daily with those whom currently and have previously and will continue into the future to occupy. This movement has been a real “eye opener” in my personal life, on a journey that lead me to attend University.

#OpVendetta & Anonymous Flyers attached to the occupy Sydney base

After checking out the new flyers hanging on the Occupy Sydney base i decided to hang a few #OpNov5 ones also.

Soon after, some fellow anons arrived and after some greetings and chatting we decided to head up to NSW Parliament House.

Whilst the group was small, we were all very passionate about our stance on our Government and the wrongdoings we are seeing on a daily basis.

After making our presence known (and watching the Police Guard get on the radio and call for someone to come see what was going on) we decided we would spend some time hanging out, at Parliament house.

It was then decided we would move on and go visit the local apple store for a snap flyer hand out.

Lunch time in the city means shoppers, the apple store provided plenty of those.

Handing out a variety of #OpNov5 #OpVendetta flyers, “Corporate Media Lies to You” among others.

After running out of flyers, we decided it was time to head back to Occupy to load up with flyers and see if any other Anons have arrived.

On our way back to Occupy we ran into the man below. He is seen quite regularly around Sydney with his Signs. I have dubbed thee, Mr Be Happy.

Upon arriving at Occupy, we were graced with more fellow Anons. After another quick greeting, we discussed and headed off to Parliament house for another stint at the gates.

Whilst at Parliament, more Anons came to grace us with their presence. Was great to have some awesome passionate people who are dedicated and committed to stand up for the wrongdoings they see in ours and other countries. I was proud to stand along side my brothers and sisters on this day.

Whilst the actions were slow (it was a Monday and most were at work or uni etc), a mega phone couldn’t be located as required, our passion and commitment was louder than any megaphone could have been. Some citizens stopped to question us as to why we were there and generally we were well received with only a few comments against what we are standing for. I did kindly remind some that “if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything”.  We also did a small action out the front of the US Embassy at the MLC Centre where Aussie Activist demanded the US release Bradley Manning, leave Julian Assange alone and stay out of Australian Politics.

As some Anons had to leave due to family commitments (and extended travel to come to sydney for the action), our crowd slowly dwindled down, but the passion and honor was still present. As we displayed our message to parliament and those whom entered and left the building. A group of students and tourists greeted the anons with requests of pictures and big thumbs up. Overall, the response to Anons at Parliament house was positive. Much appreciated Sydney and those whom stopped for a chat with the Anons on November 5th.

At just after 5pm, we decided to head back down to Occupy Sydney to see if any further anons had arrived. Occupiers whom stand in solidarity with Anons were present at the Occupy site and showed solidarity for our actions on this day. As it was a Monday, Sydney’s Wall Street gets awfully quiet in the evening time, so i decided to hang around and see if others showed for night actions.

In all, i was disappointed in the lack of effort of Anons in the Greater Sydney Basin, however, in saying that, on this day, i saw quality, not quantity. The Anons that stood outside Parliament represented the dedicated, selfless and downright Awesome of the Anons in Greater Sydney Basin, so to them (and they know who they are) a huge THANK YOU from me to you, brothers and sister.

They are all crap. When representative democracy fails, direct democracy is our other option

Until next time we meet. Remember, Remember, the 5th of November.

Syrian Community of Sydney, Pro Assad Rally

I was in the Sydney CBD passing by to visit Occupy Sydney with my hubby and children and was very surprised to see the Syrian Community of Sydney out using their voices at a Pro Assad Rally. Below is the footage i captured. Yes, that is me hollaring “no western aggression, leave Syria alone”. I do not agree with Foriegn intervention. the media here in Australia is full of propaganda against Assad. Contradictory reports of “FSA sneaking into Syria from Turkey” then going on to say later in report “no foriegn rebels” are there.  Reports of arms being seized in Turkey headed for Al Queda in Syria have not been aired in Australia. From what i am aware even NO Main Stream Media in Australia reported on this rally.

The Australian Government is now run by a calculated criminal Julia Gillard, whom along with a former boyfriend, defrauded the AWU of $1,000,000,000. Ms Gillard denied “Knowingly” doing this.  So i ask, how does one make “Partner” in a law firm if they are an absolute dumbass? answer: THEY DONT!! They  make partner by being calculated! its a dog eat dog world, especially in the world of law.

So, here is the Pro Assad Footage.

I urge all Australian’s to look further than our pathetic monopoly media that is owned by known Calculated Capitalists such as the “Murdochs”. Seek Independent news, Look at Sources of documents, Criticize, Criticize, Criticize all you read, then criticize some more! Open your eyes and look at what is TRULY going on in the world.

Howdy People.

I thought today i’d do a blog Journal and then i’ll do a blog with some video’s on it.

So over the last few years, i’ve noticed some things about the sky and our clouds. That well, the clouds just sometimes don’t look like normal clouds. Jet streams cover the sky and seem to fan out over the horizon. Some call these #Contrails, but interestingly, contrails should actually dissipate within an hour or so. However, these ones don’t seem to dissipate, they spread and cover the sky with a fine layer of hazy white cloud.

I always thought this was weird, but just took it that well our earth is changing i guess the clouds must be as well?  But then i’ve seen planes fly over head and leave their trails and always wondered why the trails didnt leave like they used to.

It wasn’t until yesterday that i was given a name for these trails. #Chemtrails – Yes Chemtrails, NOT Contrails. A trail of chemical that is sprayed out overhead via aeroplane. I was actually quite miffed as to why they would do this so high in the atmosphere, as i know if they were spraying agriculture it would be lower to the ground. (Another point to add, i live in Western Sydney (Blacktown) NSW. It is actually a city and is quite huge an area. 20 years ago it was alot of small farming and agriculture land, but now it is pretty much a concrete jungle of houses, roads and buildings. We still thankfully have alot of tree’s and parks etc in our area. So why do i see these trails overhead in my local area? They are certainly not “Crop Spraying” in Blacktown.

Now i don’t consider myself a conspiracy theorist but this is definitely sending off alarm bells in my mind. I do know for certain on days when there is heavy haze cloud and spray activity, i get sick. I’ve always got a cough, i get watery eyes, itchy eyes, sore throat and consistent medical conditions from Bowel issues to benign tumor (as in my about me page) etc.

So last night i started watching some great documentaries on Chemtrails, Haarp and other things such as the NWO and boy has it got me stumped. I’ve always known about the Illuminati and have read a few books about “conspiracy” within church’s etc but i really never thought it could be true. I guess i was “brainwashed” into believing that our world leaders do actually care about us. But the more i see going on in the world, the more i see, that they don’t.

This is totally just my opinion and i know others don’t share the same. They can send me a million “debunking” video’s but i wont be fazed by them. The govt, independent scholars working for “Govt Funded Universities” etc are always going to tell the masses what they want to hear to avoid “Mass Hysteria” They will label you a “Dirty Hippie” if you protest, A “Crazy Person” if you believe in Conspiracy Theories, they will do everything in their power to make you believe in the system. But just stop there, look at the world right now, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, uprisings in these places, also Ivory Coast and some other areas that i cannot remember at this point. Take a look at the #Occupy Movement, Wall Street, USA, Oakland, Occupy London, Amsterdam, Greece, Rome, Occupy Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, All over the world, people are waking up to the fact our governments ARE NOT on our side, they are serving the elites. Whomever those elites may be. I don’t know and i wont make rumors or try and say whom the elite are, but some people, a group, be it illuminati, New World Order, whatever. Something Sinister is going on.

I’ve been a weekend Occupier at Sydney and from what i’ve seen of the excessive use of force by police to silence protesters is just beyond belief. Psychological Intimidation, scare tactics, its just uncalled for. Why are they trying to silence us? Why are they covering up things? Why is Julia Gillard having closed door meetings and pushing so hard to be on the UN Security Council?

All i can say is

Question Everything and Believe NOTHING that main stream media such as Channel 7, 9 & 10 and any Murdoch owned media says/prints/distributes.

Search Independant local reports and always and i mean always verify your sources with other sources if possible. i dont want to create panic, i just want people to ask questions.

10th January, 2011 – Rebecca-Anne Fowler

Video from the Sudanese Australian Celebrations in Sydney last night for the start of Referendum.

The dancing and singing is amazing, these women are amazing, resiliant and so beautiful.  Thank you to the Sudanese Australian Community for inviting me to share this wonderful night with you all.

10th January, 2011 – Rebecca-Anne Fowler

The second day of referendum voting for Southern Sudanese in Australia has started again at 8am this morning.

Last night i was invited by one of my Southern Sudanese friends William, to attend a celebration/meeting of Southern Communites after the first day of referendum voting ended.  The night was a mix of speech’s, dancing and celebration for the coming months ahead.

Speech’s were given by elders and leaders, women were dancing and singing and the mood was electric, the theme: A New Sudan. When anyone mentioned a New Sudan the place erupted into cheers, it was amazing to see the Unity of the Southern Sudanese Tribes in this room.   I myself was even called to give a speech. This was totally out of the blue and not expected. I did my best unprepared speech and got a huge round of applause. I felt so welcomed by all who attended.

It was also a great night for me to catch up with a few of my students and others whom i met at the Youth Conference in Sydney in NOV. I got to catch up with the wonderful Mr John Garang (not the late of course) and he was dressed in his military attire. He was happy to pose for a photo with one of his friends.

After speaking with a few of the attendee’s last night, i got a brief feeling that the general consensus for this vote will be a separation. One of the speakers said “The Late John Garang fought for this freedom for us, our fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers who were killed in the war have fought for this for us, now it is our turn to fight for them by voting in the referendum for separation.” Words than rang so true with most of the attendee’s.

I also spoke with a former “lost boy” who whilst not going into full details of his life, i could see that it had taken a devastating toll on the life of many. This particular gentleman now works for ActionAid and is doing great things here in Australia for his own community and many other communities around the world. It is so inspiring to know that someone who has been tested in the most atrocious  of ways in life, has come through and is now giving back to community. I am inspired and at awe of these wonderful resiliant people who have come through devastating times to find some hope in their future. It simply amazes me.

This Tuesday i will be heading into the referendum centre here in Homebush Sydney and will be speaking with some Southern Sudanese on their hopes and dreams for the referendum. I feel so simply honored to be able to be a part of their lives here in Australia and to share their stories with the world is truly a blessing for me.

This year i hope to start writing a book with a few of my students, their life stories. Its going to be an amazing year for the Southern Sudanese communities and i wish them all the hope and happiness for their futures.

In recent weeks there have been requests  for new Sudanese Referendum Registration Centres to be opened around Australia.  As Australia is such a vast country and therefore should have registration centres in each state.  Due to the calls for more centres, 2 new centres have been arranged and are in the process of opening in the coming days.

HR Manager, David Miche’l from the The International Organization for Migration in Canberra has confirmed this morning that new Referendum Registration Centres will be opened in Australia. Two (2) new locations have been confirmed in Brisbane, QLD and Perth, WA.

Brisbane Location is (CBD):

Hospitality Suite, Exhibition Hall 1

Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre

Merivale St, Southbank QLD

Brisbane Registrations will be opened from  Tuesday 23rd November (an exact time frame on how long they will remain open is not yet available)

PERTH LOCATION is due to be released this week and an updated post will be submitted as soon as information is received.

For more information about the REFERENDUM in SUDAN please Click HERE

This morning i found out through one of my Sudanese Students that the registration for Southern Sudan Referendum voting has been placed on HOLD in Australia and the USA.

From what i am aware after speaking with a few other NGO’s and crisis hub, the reason for this is due to the fact that the Council are meeting to decide on whether they will open more registration centres in Australia and the USA. An urgent meeting is due to take place in the next 24-48 hours and the outcome of this will be made public and the voting registrations should then be opened.

I can only hope this is not a ploy of the north to yet again hamper efforts to hold this referendum on time. In the last few weeks, tensions have risen, Northern Bahr El Gahzal state has been bombed under “false pretenses” and reports of southerners returning to the south being abducted by northerns posing as local tribesmen.

My students today seemed very concered about this move to place the registrations on hold here and abroad. They do beleive that this could ultimately affect the holding of the referendum and without registering on time they will miss their opportunity to vote for a ‘New Sudan’.

I pray for freedom and liberties of my good friends and hope that peace can surely come to their land.
