In Mafia terms, it’s called “making an offer that can’t be refused”. The “offer” is not one of free choice between options that may benefit the object party. In reality, it is about setting up a scenario of duress, under which the object party is coerced to capitulate to detrimental terms of extreme prejudice determined cynically by the other party.

I decided to put this blog together in regards to conflicting statements on news reports regarding Syria and the use of Chemical Weapons as well as the new UN Resolution condemning the atrocities by the Assad Regime and stepping down, and requesting unrestricted access to report on chemical weapon use.

Syria rebels reject UN chemical weapons claim

Free Syrian Army leader says UN investigator’s claim that his group is likely to have used sarin is a “huge injustice”.

The rebel Free Syrian Army (FSA) has rejected claims by UN investigators that it is likely to have used chemical weapons.

Carla Del Ponte, a leading UN human rights investigator, said on Sunday that a UN commission of inquiry had gathered testimony from casualties of the civil war and medical staff indicating that rebel forces had used the nerve agent sarin.

Speaking to Al Jazeera on Monday, Saleem Edris, FSA chief of staff, said he considered the remarks a “huge injustice” and “provocation” to the Syrian people.

Del Ponte, a member of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, also said that the inquiry had not yet seen evidence of government forces having used chemical weapons, which are banned under international law.

“Our investigators have been in neighbouring countries interviewing victims, doctors and field hospitals and, according to their report of last week which I have seen, there are strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof of the use of sarin gas, from the way the victims were treated,” she said in an interview with Swiss-Italian television.

“This was use on the part of the opposition, the rebels, not by the government authorities,” she added.

ok so compare these reports to the now current UN Rhetoric on Syria. I am guessing Israel and USA didnt like what Del Ponte had to say. Also, i have seen NO Coverage of the above UN statements regarding rebels use of chemical weapons on mainstream Australian News (nor did i expect to considering they are heavily censored and mainly tools of propaganda).

I was still waking up when i saw this report and had to record it. Brain was still sleeping as hadnt had first coffee. but anyway the point is, where is the condemnation of the Rebels atrocities? reported cannibalism as captured on video by rebels? Israel Attacks? Its full rhetoric of Israel and USA people, Wake Up and see the connections.

The Israeli army is reportedly preparing to launch another all-out war against the besieged Gaza Strip in a bid to eliminate Hamas resistance movement.

According to Israeli Walla website, the Israeli army is preparing to launch the Operation Pillar of Defense II against Gaza to stop rocket attacks from the Palestinian territory despite a significant decrease in their number.

The Israeli website said since the Israeli regime does not have confidence in the current peace in the southern part of Israel, it wants to launch another military offensive in Gaza to destroy Hamas military infrastructure.

It also added that the Israeli army will deploy more troops in the future war to prevent Hamas response.

Walla said Israel is determined to attack Gaza again since…

After two air strikes inside Syria in the space of three days, Israel remains intent on targeting advanced weapons there before they can be transferred to Hizballah in Lebanon, Israeli military officials tell TIME. “It’s not over,” says one senior officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity because Israel has not officially acknowledged either of the strikes. “This is not the last incident.”

The savage civil war inside Syria has both emboldened Israel to act against existing threats and created new ones. Officials are concerned that as the Syrian state devolves into chaos, sophisticated weapons not previously available to Hizballah will make their way across the border to Lebanon, altering the military equation between Israel and the well-armed Shi‘ite militia sponsored by Iran and aided by the Syrian government.

One such weapon is the Fateh-110 missile, which Israel targeted in warehouses at Damascus International Airport on Thursday night and at the sprawling…

The US feigns disassociation with Hitlerian act of Israeli aggression – as was planned since 2007.

Israel used “a new type of weapon”, a senior official at the Syrian military facility that came under attack from the Israeli Air Force told RT.

“When the explosion happened it felt like an earthquake,” said the source, who was present near the attack site on the outskirts of Damascus on Sunday morning.

“Then a giant golden mushroom of fire appeared. This tells us that Israel used depleted uranium shells.”

Depleted uranium is a by-product of the uranium enrichment process that creates nuclear weapons, and was first used by the US in the Gulf conflict of 1991. Unlike the radioactive materials used in nuclear weapons, depleted uranium is not valued for its explosiveness, but for…

Syria has reportedly opened the New Year with a horrifying discovery of dozens of corpses in the capital Damascus. Some of the bodies were decapitated and bore traces of torture. They have not yet been identified. This comes amid widespread doubt there will be any major breakthrough in Syria’s bloody civil stand-off any time soon. Asia Times Correspondent Pepe Escobar predicts that the conflict could follow the Lebanese Civil War scenario and continue for another fifteen years.

Silver Lining

by Ramzy Baroud, source

Reading the text of a bill that was recently signed into law by US President Barack Obama would instill fear in the hearts of ordinary Americans. Apparently, barbarians coming from distant lands are at work. They are gathering at the US-Mexico border, cutting fences and ready to wreak havoc on an otherwise serene American landscape.

Never mind that crazed, armed to the teeth, homegrown American terrorists are killing children and terrorizing whole cities. It is the Iranian menace that we are meant to fear according to the new law. When compounded with the other imagined threats of Hezbollah and Hamas, all with sinister agendas, then the time is right for Americans to return to their homes, bolt their doors and squat in shelters awaiting further instructions, for evidently, “The Iranians are coming.”

It is as comical as it is untrue. But “The Countering Iran in the…

Wednesday January 02, 2013 12:44 by Saed Bannoura – IMEMC & Agencies

The Israeli Navy opened fire, on Wednesday morning, at a number of Palestinian fishing boats at the coasts of Khan Younis and Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that the army fired dozens of rounds of live ammunition at the fishing boats, and forced the fishermen to return to their docks.

The sources added that the Navy chased the fishermen despite the fact that they were in the allotted area allowed for Palestinian fishermen.

As part of the ceasefire agreement that ended the Israeli war on Gaza in November 2012, Palestinian fishermen were allowed to fish within 6 nautical miles off the Gaza coast.

191 Palestinians, including children, women and elderly, have been killed by Israeli military fire in Gaza in November, including…

The comments come as the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has claimed that Syria is preparing for, what he called, a sacred birth that will replace Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Meanwhile Syrian Army troops have reportedly arrested four Turkish fighter jet pilots near a military airport in Syria’s northwestern province of Aleppo. Tensions have been running high between Syria and Turkey, with Damascus accusing Ankara — along with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, France, and the United States — of backing deadly militancy that has claimed the lives of many Syrians, including security and Army personnel.

GAZA, (PIC)– Independent MP Dr. Jamal Al-Khudari has opined that 2013 would witness a final end to the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip that has been in force for six years.

In a press release on Wednesday, Khudari called for intensifying efforts by free people of the world, those who back the Palestine cause, and layers and segments of the Palestinian people in order to break the siege once and for all.

The MP hoped that the new year would bring about freedom, end of occupation, and restoration of all usurped rights for the Palestinian people in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, 1948 land, and the diaspora.

Khudari also called for ending the internal division, hoping that recent good omens in this regard should be exploited to embark on practical steps toward a reunion.

The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) says the so-called Free Syrian Army is just a group of terrorists, stressing that Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are granting money and weapons to the terrorists in Syria.

In an interview with the Syrian Arab TV on Wednesday, IHRC Chief Muhammad Shahid Amin Khan said the IHCR condemns terrorism across the world without any discrimination, adding that media reports by Western countries and certain Persian Gulf littoral states about the developments in Syria are “untrue.”

Syria has been the victim of the same terrorism targeting Pakistan and other countries because the al-Qaeda that was fighting against the US occupation in Afghanistan is now present in Syria, he added.

The IHRC chief lashed out at Qatar and Turkey for pursuing a policy based on funding the terrorists to destabilize Muslim countries.

He invited all sides in Syria to get involved in dialogue…

About one hundred solidarity activists were able to get into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah Crossing on the borders with Egypt.

The majority of the Welcome to Palestine delegation came from European countries like France, Belgium, and Ireland, along with some Egyptians.

Many of them expressed their happiness for being able to make into the Gaza Strip, especially that it comes on the 27th of December, which coincides with the fourth anniversary of the Israeli Operation Cast Lead on Gaza in 2008, which claimed over 1400 Palestinian lives.

Real Syria Updates
December 31, 2012

Al Qaeda FSA terrorists following the ‘Zionist Handbook to Destroy Syria‘ have published another video they claim they shell Damascus International Airport with mortars in it, their first video we reported earlier (click here). Same terrorists threatened earlier to target civilian airplanes in Syrian Airports and actually targeted one (Al Qaeda FSA Terrorists Target a Civilian Aircraft Based on a Wahhabi Religious Fatwa) & they brag about it!!

It seems it’s Ok to shell commercial and civilian airports with mortars by groups receiving US & its stooges ‘non-lethal’ aid. We wonder how would they feel having Hethrow, JFK & Charles De Gaulle airports with mortars by ‘freedom fighter’ calling on the end of the criminal banking system and financed by wealthy countries like Syria and Iran?

Washington’s Sectarian Killers

For Whom the Syrian Bell Tolls

by Pepe Escobar

The top geopolitical tragedy in 2012 is bound to remain the top geopolitical tragedy in 2013: the rape of Syria.

Just as once in a while I go back to my favorite Hemingway passages, lately I’ve been going back to some footage I shot years ago of the Aleppo souk – the most extraordinary of all Middle Eastern souks. It’s like being shot in the back; I was as fond of the souk’s architecture as of its people and traders. Weeks ago, most of the souk – the living pulse of Aleppo for centuries – was set on fire and destroyed by the “rebels” of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA).

In this Syrian tragedy, there is no Hemingway young hero, no Robert Jordan in the International Brigades…
