CounterPsyOps

The ultimate goal of the US-sponsored crisis in Syria is not simple regime change, but to divide the Arab republic as prelude to division of the entire Eurasia and maintaining US global primacy as a superpower.

“The US-sponsored siege of Syria is part of its attempts to divide Eurasia and maintain its global primacy as a superpower,” says columnist Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya in an article published on the Press TV website on Tuesday.

“Washington has no mercy on its friends or its foes either and countries like Turkey and Saudi Arabia will eventually be used as cannon fodder,” the analyst added.

He noted that the US strategists want the area including the North Africa and Middle East, Caucasus, Central Asia, and India to be turned into a black hole of fighting.

The main Syrian rebel group say they’re behind a powerful blast that ripped through central Damascus. The explosion struck just outside a hotel being used by the UN observers’ mission and an RT crew. Independent journalist James Corbett believes rebels are unliklely to draw condemnation from some foreign countries for the latest attack in Damascus.

British Ambassador to Israel Matthew Gould in London.

British Ambassador to Israel Matthew Gould in London.
British politicians’ support for the Israeli regime is increasingly diminishing because of the entity’s aggressive settlement policies in the occupied Palestinian territories.

UK ambassador to Tel Aviv, Matthew Gould made the remarks earlier this month, adding that Israel was increasingly losing support among middle-ground politicians in the UK because of its aggressive settlement policies.

Gould said he detected a shift among the middle ground of British members of parliament towards a more critical view of Israel.

“Israelis might wake up in 10 years’ time and find out that the level of understanding in the international community has suddenly changed, and that patience for continuing the status quo has reduced,” he said.

“Support for Israel is starting to erode and that’s not about these people on the fringe who are shouting loudly and calling for…

End The Lie
August 11, 2012

The federal government, specifically the Department of Homeland Security, is buying up huge amounts of ammunition and there seems to be no end in sight. Again, this is nothing new as the DHS has refused to explain their purchase of 450 million hollow points ( http://endthelie.com/2012/04/03/dhs-wont-explain-its-order-of-450-million-hol… ) and has ordered “up to” 650-750 million rounds of ammo ( http://endthelie.com/2012/04/05/why-does-homeland-security-need-up-to-650-750… ) and also seems to be looking for more weapons as well ( http://endthelie.com/2012/06/12/dhs-agencies-to-buy-up-to-7000-new-5-56x45mm-… ). Gog and Magog: No to Iran War!

UPDATE: Here’s the link for my portion of the BBC Newshour segment in which I was interviewed about the Israeli government document.

Israelis are posting a claim that the document I published is identical to a post published by Fresh a few days ago.  It is not.  My original IDF source may have leaked the post to someone at Fresh.  But whoever published it there embellished it with much material that is not in the original document.  I can’t ascribe motives to whoever published it at Fresh, but much of it appears fanciful and isn’t in the original document.

*  *

In the past few days, I received an Israeli briefing document outlining Israel’s war plans against Iran. The document was passed to me by a high-level Israeli source who received it…

The Extinction Protocol

August 16, 2012TEXASDallas Mayor Mike Rawlings on Wednesday declared the city’s recent West Nile virus outbreak to be a state of emergency and authorized the first aerial spraying of insecticide in the city in more than 45 years. Dallas and other North Texas cities have agreed to the rare use of aerial spraying from planes to combat the nation’s worst outbreak of West Nile virus so far this year. Dallas last had aerial spraying in 1966, when more than a dozen deaths were blamed on encephalitis. More than 200 cases of West Nile and 10 deaths linked to the virus have been reported across Dallas County, where officials authorized aerial spraying last week. State health department statistics show 381 cases and 16 deaths related to West Nile statewide. “The numbers of cases, the number of deaths are remarkable, and we need to sit up and take…

World

For much of the past five decades, Burma has been a byword for political repression. The generals that seized power in 1962 ruled with fearsome, often reckless, authority, stomping out dissent and turning one of Asia’s breadbaskets into a barren, hungry place. In the past two years, the story changed. The men in green handed power to a quasi-civilian government, promising to end the country’s isolation. In April, the world watched Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi lead the National League for Democracy to a near sweep in by-elections hailed as a landmark for the Southeast Asian nation. Suu Kyi, long incarcerated by the junta, was now a parliamentarian acceptable to the regime. The nation’s own reversal, it seemed, was only a matter of time.

But a recent spate of violence in the country’s northwest reminds us that Burma’s transition is far from complete. Even as the West relaxes sanctions and investors flock…
